Membership fees are debited weekly, in advance, via direct debit. The joining fee of $99 is paid upon signing up to a membership, unless waived (e.g. for Founding Memberships).
Yes, Founding Members receive three guest passes per year, to share the experience with family and friends.
No, however we would love to arrange an in-person tour of our club so that we can take you through the space and answer any questions you may have, prior to signing up.We also provide a “change of mind” period to all members who sign up.
For Founding Members, who secure a membership prior to the opening of their club location, this is 14 days from the date the club opens. For all other members, this is 48 hours from the start date of the membership.
During this period, members have the option to cancel their membership for any reason.
To cancel your membership, simply email your club location or submit your request via the app under “More” > “Update My Membership”.
Please also note we require 30 days notice for all membership cancellations.
After 12 months, memberships roll into month-to-month memberships, unless cancelled with 30 days' notice.
At this stage, members may cancel their membership at any time, by providing 30 days' notice.
Some memberships, including Founding Memberships, include reciprocal access across multiple club locations. This is outlined at sign-up.
Yes, members may freeze their membership for up to 4 weeks per annum. Freeze requests must be made at least 7 days before the intended freeze period, and the minimum freeze duration is 7 days. A one-time freeze fee of $20 applies, per freeze.

During the Change of Mind period, members have the option to cancel their membership for any reason. For Founding Members, the Change of Mind period is 14 days from the Start Date (which is the date in which their Home Location opens). For all other members, this is 48 hours from the Start Date of the membership agreement.
Unfortunately not. All Founding Member memberships will commence on the same day, being the opening date of the home location selected.

Founding Members
Your membership commences on the opening date of your home location, unless you have specifically requested that it commence sooner.
All other members
Your membership commences on the date you sign up, unless you have specified otherwise. If you would like to select a specific starting date. Please connect with us at healthclub@thecommons.com.au and we can set this up for you. Note that we are unable to specify a starting date for Founding Members and/or any other exclusive or limited membership type.
Yes, subject to availability and a $200 transfer fee, members may change their home location and access rights at any time. Note that the current advertised rate will apply to all membership changes.

Yes. Subject to availability, members can upgrade at any time. The current advertised rate will apply to all membership upgrades.Where membership upgrades are not available, members will be added to a waitlist and notified once a spot becomes available.There is no fee to upgrade and we will process this as soon as possible. Please also note, members do not need to agree to a new commitment term when upgrading their membership.
Downgrade:
Yes, members may downgrade at any time by paying a single administrative fee of $200. 30 days notice is required and the current advertised rate will apply to all membership downgrades.Please also note, members do not need to agree to a new commitment term when downgrading their membership.

No. Our bathhouse is designed to be a tranquil escape from the pressures of modern life so out of respect for other users we ask that no phones or filming devices be taken into the bathhouse.
Yes, bathing suits are mandatory in the bathhouse at all times.
No, for hygiene purposes we ask that members do not wear footwear while in the bathhouse.
The bathhouse opens 30 minutes after staffed hours begin and closes 30 minutes before staffed hours end. This ensures members have time to shower and dress before staffed hours and changerooms close.

All Founding Members will also benefit from 24/7 access to the members lounge and gym of their home location.
Members who purchase a personalised laundry service add-on are welcome to leave their bathing suits and activewear with our team. We will wash, dry, fold and return their clothes to their private locker. All within 24 hours!

Yes! All of our members are welcome to use our Dyson Supersonic Dryers, Dyson Airwraps and GHD hair straighteners.We also offer clothes steamers and, for an additional fee, private lockers and laundry services.
No. We have curated a premium range of hair, body and face products. This includes body wash, shampoo, conditioner, face moisturiser, body moisturiser and sunscreen from our friends at Standard Procedure.
Yes! We offer a large number of male and female showers and changing facilities in all of our clubs.
Yes, we offer a combination of chilled bottle fillers and bubblers. We also provide cups for members to drink from on our gym floor. While we encourage our members to bring their own drink bottles, we ask that members do not bring any glass bottles into the space. This is especially important in the bathhouse.
No, we offer Manduka Pro mats in all of our classes. All you need to bring is yourself.
We provide a complimentary towel service for all of our members. This includes fluffy shower towels, bathhouse towels, sweat towels, sauna towels, chilled face towels in the bathhouse and hot pilates towels. We want to create a seamless experience for our members and so there is no fee associated.
Yes, members must be 18 years of age or older. Please note that guests must also be aged 18 years or older.
Outside of staffed hours, members may access the members lounge, gym floor and single all-gender changing room and toilet only.
During this time, the bathhouse, studios and the male & female changerooms will be closed. This is both for health and safety purposes, and to allow our team of cleaners to complete a deep clean each night.
